Great choice of subject. I know that paper, I'm sure I've used one just like it before. Though every time I do anything on it, it always looks like a child's crayon drawing (not sharp and professional like this). I'm not cut out for traditional mediums! :P

It wasn't scrap paper, it was just unused :D And I made time here and there.

Yeah, anything with too rough of a tooth isn't too good for colored pencils =P I found I really have to go over an area many times, or press down really hard to get the look I want. So it's not your fault :)
